For guys doing remodeling (kitchens, baths basements) is this the slow season or is it just me? Using improvenet online leads service as a guide I would say it is the season and not me. They were sending me 3 leads a week now I have seen 1 in last 3 weeks. Doesn't seem like people are interested in having their houses torn up between now and x-mas.

I'm having 20,000 door hangers printed up right now. Was going to start having them distributed in 1/3rds but am wondering if it would be a waste of money to distribute them right now and should wait till after x-mas, 1st week of January?

Usually this time from now till the end of dec is the slow time around Dallas. I would wait till the first of the year to put out door hangers. Just my 2 cents

Oftentimes it's due to people starting to think of spending money for xmas - I would probably wait until after the new year and then another round around april 15th :)
Hopefully everyone gets a tax return and wants to spend it on that project that they've been saving up for.

Mike you will find improvenet and service magic both cut their advertising at this time of the year. It happens every year.

For us roofers and other outside guys, this is the businest time of the year for work. Spring is the businest time for new estimates. I came here to post how easy it is to sell at this time of the year, as long as you are available to do the work before the snow flies.

Yep, that's what I was figuring. Too bad, I was just ramping up starting to enjoy getting busy and now to have the rug pulled out sucks. Looks like I'll be finishing my own basement ahead of schedule. I like the April timing, that would work out about right. If the response is as expected I would like to be getting those hangers out about 3 times a year, so Jan then April is about right, followed July/August.
